Oh, Andrea Bargnani. He never was quite able to live up to the billing of a first overall draft pick when the Raptors selected him in 2006, and opportunities with the Knicks and the Nets later in his career never quite worked out for him either. Bargs’ last pro season was in 2017 with Spanish club Baskonia.
Since then, he has updated his Instagram bio to better reflect his goings-on. Update: Bargnani has a lot going on.
Where to start? DJ/influencer Bargnani is a doozy on its own, but it’s also tame in comparison to, say, the model/helicopter pilot/astronaut trainee triumvirate. Then, tacked on at the end, is ‘stay-at-home dad.’ Maybe that would be believable about Bargnani’s post-playing life if it weren’t for, you know, the whole helicopter pilot/astronaut trainee thing.
The only thing missing from that list seems to be pasta ambassador.
