Keeping tabs on the cloud (Amended)
Singapore cloud-tagging startup veriTAG takes an innovative approach to how information is relayed in the food trade and in asset management
SCAN, view, repeat - tech-savvy consumers and enterprises are no strangers to the Quick Response (QR) code, which plays host to a myriad of information and links. Even so, it is not business as usual for cloud-tagging solutions provider veriTAG. "The thing about technology is that it comprises many components," says Jason Lim, CEO of the Singapore-based firm.
"While many people are using each of these individual components, we've brought all of them together to form a complete solution."
Riding on its homegrown cloud platform, the two-year-old startup seeks to create an "integrative and efficient ecosystem" able to tag a variety of assets and devices. According to Mr Lim, this is the "beauty of cloud tagging": the unlimited amount of information and applications a user can enjoy. "Because all the information is stored on the cloud, there's no limit to what you can do."
