To Disney and DreamWorks:

After I got inspiration from the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney, and how 20th Century and Searchlight are now part of the Disney family, it dawned on me that there came an idea to get DreamWorks Animation and DreamWorks Pictures out of Universal's shadow once and for all: if Disney acquired it from NBCUniversal and Amblin Partners for $21.6 billion on February 14, 2024.

And this would be, if not should be, a perfect opportunity for DreamWorks Animation and DreamWorks Pictures to have a better future with Disney to distribute family-friendly content of animated films under the Walt Disney Pictures banner and mature content of films under the 20th Century Studios banner in 2024 after NBCUniversal and Amblin Partners took over in 2016.

If sold, we would have, say, a Jack Frost/Elsa crossover comic, for one thing. But, let's go through how much of DreamWorks Animation and DreamWorks Pictures Disney would be able to acquire:

  1. DreamWorks Pictures
  2. DreamWorks Animation
  3. DreamWorks Classics
  4. Big Idea Entertainment
  5. Jay Ward Productions
  6. The Harvey Entertainment Company
  7. DreamWorks Television
  8. DreamWorks Animation Television
  9. DreamWorks Records
  10. DreamWorks Interactive

Now let's go over for a few changes if Disney would be able to acquire DreamWorks:

  • Disney will rename the studio as DreamWorks Feature Animation.
  • DreamWorks Television and Amblin Television will split-up.
  • Disney will rebrand DreamWorks Records as DreamWorks Music after its defunct in 2006.
  • Disney will rebrand DreamWorks Interactive as DreamWorks Games after its defunct in 2013.
  • DreamWorks Pictures will move the headquarters from Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City, CA to Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA.
  • Disney will give the distribution rights to the 2013-2017 DreamWorks Animation film library back to 20th Century Studios.
  • DreamWorks Animation Television will revert back to DreamWorks Television Animation.
  • Sean Bailey and David Katzenberg would partner to launch DreamPartners.

There are many more things I want to discuss about what would happen if they were part of the Disney family, but I think this is a good start. If you agree, sign this signature for a better future for DreamWorks Pictures and DreamWorks Animation!
