Favourite fragrance to go hiking to the mountains. Incredible quality/price ratio.

This winter I didn't like it, it seemed pungent and heavy, but now I'm rediscovering it in warm weather: it's a dry and gentle wood with a touch of fruit. I thought it was a winter frag but I really like it in spring time!

If this is bark, it's the papery, transparent, translucent peeling sheets you get on birch - it doesn't smell of birch, but is so dry and light, a silky wisp of fibre, not a great lump of butch knobbly timber. Had hopes for something really deep and warming, but this burns off quicker than a balsa wood tinder stick.
The opening is downright delicious - orange, light woods, warm sweet resins, hint of cinnamon, summoning even a ghost of Fendi's awesome Theorema, or Micallef Gaiac - pretty classy company for a budget/midrange scent like this to be keeping. Sadly it all crumbles to a straight, dry, papery sandalwood - in other words, everything else steps back and it's perfectly pleasant Iso E Super compound all the way from then in - in under an hour on me. Never less than lovely, if not quite all the way to gorgeous, and sure it's well-priced, but it just doesn't go the distance for me. Oh, I just so *wish* it lasted...

This is a very hybrid unisex fragrance. It starts off very woody and gets sharper into the mid. When the base hits about 4 hours in it completely changes to a soft feminine powdery scent. Longevity is 8-10 hours and projection is average. More suitable for women.

Definitely unisex scent. With some citrus notes, very fresh and not offensive to others. Worked perfectly for me to start the day in the office.

I have a sample of the shower gel, and it smells bitter to my nose. Pity! :(

This is warm, comforting and a little bit drowsy, like sitting in front of a campfire at night, though it doesn't actually smell like a campfire. Resembles high-quality Japanese sandalwood incense with a touch of citron (not strictly "citrus"). An honest, unisex scent, best for Fall and Winter, late day or evening. I bought this in Florence, so of course it takes me right back there when I wear it.
Long-lasting. I have to attempt "half-squirts" and not spray on my neck, because on me it's too masculine otherwise. It's a Like for me, but a quieter version would get a Love.

Bark is unisex, indeed. Gives the impression of freshness, perhaps a bit masculine, but I love it now. In fact, I still could wear men's fragrances when gets warmer...some citrus-woody scents, like Guerlain Vetiver or Dior Homme Sport.
Bark is soothing, calming; Magot has that same effect on me when it's cold, and Bark works fine in spring or fall.

sistertricked described it perfectly! thank you!
It is a white wood smell, with some firs and a snowy breeze! perfectly calming and refreshing...

I tested this today on a paper strip. It is a dry woody scent with a touch of spice/incense. One can feel a coniferous feeling coming from the resin and the coldish breeze of the whole forest at dark. Someone maybe is peeling a tree nearby, one can feel the smell of sap, too. I consider giving this as a present for Christmas, it is not sweet.
