One of the best honey aromatic perfumes. It is centered around honey, woods, hints of sweetness, spices and a bit of aromatic lavender. Compared to Osang, that is in my wish-list, it's way sweeter and is less incense heavy. Osang is darker and is less versatile. This perfume however is slightly easier to wear, thus has a wider public. I can also compare to to Archetipo that I also own, and Archetipo is "greyer", woody and is slightly toned down. Next on my list to try is Sirio. I love all of the mendittorosa creations, I have yet to meet a perfume that I did not like from this house. So far I was intensely impressed. The perfumes has excellent blending, sillage and longevity. They are unique and hard to copy. I have not met a house with such a strong woody DNA as Mendittorosa. Overall, I am a huge fan. Similar perfumes that I have tried: "Houbigant Quelques fleurs royale" leans too floral for me and too feminine and too simple, Bee by Zoologist is easier to wear and is more versatile, Osang by same brand is darker, Oajan is way more masculine and spicier, and Volutes by Diptyque has a heavy tobacco-honey combo which is makes it more floral, creamier, and is better for the evening.

One of the nicer honey centered fragrances I’ve come across. Very good job.

This was a blind buy that I purchased because Le Mat was sold out and I desperately wanted a scent from this house. Unfortunately, it gives my partner an intense headache every time I so much as spritz it.

It's all honey and incense on me (especially honey) and quite overpowering. I will probably offload sometime in the near future - I just don't get enough wear out of it, and I tend to be a little paranoid that it's too much for the people around me.

Presentation is unparalleled. I'll still go back for Le Mat someday, but I probably won't blind buy anything else from this house.

Honey, floral, Hyrax. Jumps back and forth between new sneaker smell and florals. It's kinda fun actually. Reminds me of a more floral Reflection man.

Balushi

To my nose, this is a fruity floral bubblegum with prominent honey. Later on, it moves to a woody base with noticeable animalic note (Hyrax).

• If you're looking for honey or beeswax notes, that are listed here, try Osang, because this frag dissapoints me, smelling like some ordinary mens cologne with lavender.
• Add some fresh air and flowers ...yak...
• Can't wash it off from my arm. So it's long lasting :)

dflor

At the first sniff it's quite aromatic but then turns into something so animalic I've never smelled before.

If there is one word that defines this composition by Amélie Bourgeois, it is attraction.
This magnificent fragrance creates an atmosphere that traps you between a mantle of jasmine and rose, with a honey that gives it a sweet point, without being gourmand. In the background of the composition, the amber, wood and musk notes make it very attractive.
Like many from the Italian house, it stands out for its versatility, with a remarkable saddle and durability.

This is... out of this world amazing , honey sparkling nectar that smells divine , utterly outstanding intoxicating scent that is just to die for. Well done Amelie Bourgeois !. ( Projection - Longevity are AMAZING)

Cherry_Darling

Tart pomegranate opening, nice quality floral honey. The lavender, narcissus and hyrax definitely add a vintage, little bit soapy depth to this one. I smell neroli for some reason! (Probably the soapy association) but it's definitely a posh soapy. Not my genre, but respect for the high quality notes.

Maidenless

This is a masterpiece and I take the word very seriously.

Initially there's a sharp, aromatic lavender note, a bit of tart sweetness from blackcurrant and THE most realistic pomegranate note I've come across in perfumery and in case you're thinking of pomegranate juice, don't. Instead, imagine chewing both the pulp and seeds - the way that delicately sweet and juicy sourness of the former mingling with the bitterness and mild woodiness of the latter is deliciously executed, I must say. Rituale then morphs into its heart of meditative frankincense, albeit not listed, and a stupendous raw, sticky forest honey accord with subtle waxiness from the beeswax and eventually settles to a creamy, powdery sandalwood and balmy amberwood base. Hyrax is there, though it's not a star player in the composition. In fact, it doesn't come off as fecal whatsoever. There is indeed an animalic furriness lurking somewhere in the background but it's barely detectable.

Rituale is enigmatic and archaic. It feels as if it's made from another era - primitive and old-worldly yet somehow it's still able to retain its flamboyant essence of modernity. I've been into this hobby for quite some time now and can assure that nothing has ever come close to this beauty in terms of uniqueness and craftsmanship.

Oh and performance is off the charts too :-)

as with a lot of mendittorosa scents, they function as tiny vignettes of often-unconnected segments, which works to their detriment, in this case.

they come across incredibly 'high art' and cerebral, and this brand imaging works for the most part, but for me i find that they perform a little too distinct and separated from themselves.

the dynamics shift so frequently, and with this one, i found myself amazed at the opening, a little disappointed with the middle and then pleased with the end. the scents evolve quite a bit, i must say, and for me it is simply too much. i wish there was less movement and more static (or at least minor) movement. the beginning, which i adore, captures moments or distinct phases, linked to thought and experience, and i do find myself daydreaming. when I come back, i find myself unable to actually explain what the actual notes/components are, and that's totally fine, this is what fine are is meant to do, but, you know, it's a little diffuse, for more...

parts remind me of baccarat rouge, other parts remind me of new sneakers, you know, what the box smells like when you first open it.

this review feels like pure waffle, but that's what i get from this...

Very nice but not outstanding, I've worn this around my wife many times and she never noticed, possibly sillage issues. I like the scent but for the price possibly would not have blind bought this one. But, it is well blended from a very good house. The sweet and dark fruit combo is unique and interesting for sure. Sample first.

JayO

Interesting note pyramid, in the open I get the rose and raspberry coming through but their presence is gone in a flash, what remains is a warm honey (and I say honeyed rather than beeswax because - while there is a waxiness - I don't get the animalic/musky note I associate with beeswax) drenched amber accord that integrates the hyraceum beautifully (a very similar if not identical accord in Mendittorosa Sogno Reale but this one feels slightly softer and more vanilla forward).

drelovesit

Just received this beauty in the mail today and I’am in awe. I smiled so hard smelling this one. The packaging and scent are so unique, I feel this could be the perfect signature scent. I can see myself wearing this year round and having it become apart of me. I also love the concept behind the fragrance!

The below reviews sum it up perfectly as well.

Gift for the golden God....

I cannot see it in the notes but somehow this provides me an incensy feeling, like a soft sweet honey incense with a very noticeable fruitiness... and can also detect the jasmine in a creamy musky base.

This is delicate but strong. Soft rounded composition with a great power to conquer. It is golden bright, with a lot of mystery and charming.

This time, and I do not say this very often, I can see this perfume going into the femenine side, but men that are into perfumes will not have any issue to rock it.

Presentation is awesome, and price-tag is fairly reasonable for what you get: Beautiful bright, easy to wear, slightly sweet and floral beast, that does not shout but that everybody will notice, and most likely (not my case) will provide you some compliments.

I really like this but my husband detests it for the first two hours.

xmelldefrag

I really adore this one, this was my most expensive perfume to date back then, and it was blind buy in an online shop. I wasn't sure to buy it, but when i checked the rave reviews, I decided to take a leap of faith. And this perfume worths every penny that I spent.
This is a true oriental honey scent, that feels a bit middle eastern fused with chinese culture. And then it turns into a fruity bliss, very very refined.
The beeswax always there from start to finish.

I don't know why they name this Rituale, but what this is a good quality, safe for a blindbuy. Stellar longevity and sillage too.

wxmath

This fragrance blows me away. The opening is gorgeous, unlike anything I have smelled. The beeswax is dominate initially but in a very good way, not too sweet. It has a mix of amberwood and combined with the sweeter fruity notes, makes a very well done outcome. This is the second fragrance I've bought from this house, the first being Le Mat, and I'm very happy with both. The bottles are beautiful, especially the tops, and I like there is no name brand on the bottles. Very creative and highly recommended, well worth the $$.

miracleborgtech

Deliciously happy fragrance that combines interesting notes like narcissus, raspberries and pomegranate with hyrax and honey. This gives it a depth that spans sunny lightness to warm contentment. My nose was glued to my wrist smelling the surprising accord, enjoying the unusual mix of wide ranging notes.

Rituale reminds me of an idyllic bright day. A jubilant expression that restores aura and atmosphere. The top notes are meant to illustrate sun worship, with all of the notes selected for scent and healing. I got that impression before I knew the perfumer's intent, so the inspiration comes through in a blind test. Good sillage and longevity - the drydown is as impressive as the opening!

Q80

Glowing fruits, & gleaming honey narcissus.

Honey, narcissus, grapes, blackcurrant, apples, woods, and slight animalics blending together to produce quite an interesting blend! Pomegranate, & oranges are quite obvious as well so is the sandalwood.

I was surprised that i would like this fragrance cause when i tested it few days back it wasn't as pleasing as it is today! it's like covering poison with honey! that animalic narcissus jasmines blend are doing quite magic underneath the honey wax with blackcurrant and raspberry flavors.

Very impressive to like a fragrance from this difficult house, but nothing is impossible once you understand the perfumer's perspective.

10 minutes later! the more i sniff my arm and my skin, the more i feel happy and wanting to sniff even more! WTH is that! superbly impressive!

geanina_gandac

I bought a sample because I was so curious how this perfume smell. Everyone said it was one of the best perfume from Esxence 2017. It is a wonderful perfume, full of power and personality. Unique. Interesting. Different. His sweetness is given by raspberry, pomegranate mixed with sandalwood and amberwood. It also has a bitter note that reminds me of beeswax smell. The sweet note combined with the bitter note equal a great smell with a classical touch, very well structured. You can’t destroy its hardness, it stays till the end, like a pyramid over centuries. Can’t be broken. Again: beautiful and rough smell, very stable. It lasts well and does not change. Give it a try and you might be surprised.

jeca

Rituale is a beautiful fragrance, one of the most beautiful at Esxence 2017.

It is narcissus, honey, lavender, and dried and fresh herbs and flowers in general, as well as beautiful beewax and many other rather associations than notes.

It is the best olfactory advertising of an Italian countryside. A warm August afternoon in the fields, in the hay with your lover, a lazy and happy time.
