Michelle Yeoh Wore a Stunning Red-Orange Dress to the 2024 Golden Globes

Golden Globe winner Michelle Yeoh is back on the red carpet — and while she may not be up for any awards this year, she's in attendance to present a statuette tonight after a historic awards season run in 2023. She wore a shimmering all-black look to last year's ceremony, but this time around, the actress wore a sculptural, pleated strapless gown in a fiery orange-red to the International Ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Proving that red really was the color of the night, Yeoh's Bottega Veneta strapless gown was a fiery orange-leaning shade of the color du jour. Her floor-skimming dress featured bustier details on the bodice and an intricately sculpted strapless neckline that swooped into a low back. She skipped out on a necklace for this particular column gown, but matched her watch band to her dress and carried a woven knot clutch also by Bottega Veneta. Shiny metallic heels finished off her look and peeked out from the hem of her dress. She wore her hair in easy waves and accessorized with Bottega's viral teardrop earrings, which were one of the most popular styles from the brand in 2023.

Last year, Yeoh took home the trophy for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, making her the second-ever Asian winner in the category. She followed the footsteps of her Crazy Rich Asians co-star Awkwafina (real name: Nora Lum), who took home the same trophy for her role in The Farewell in 2020. During her acceptance speech, Yeoh reflected on her time in the entertainment industry, noting that she'd been acting for four decades and calling the journey "amazing."

“Whew! OK. I’m just gonna stand here and take this all in,” she said. “Forty years, not letting go of this. So just quickly, thank you Hollywood Foreign Press for giving me this honor. It’s been an amazing journey and incredible fight to be here today, but I think it’s worth it.”

“As time went by — I turned 60 last year — and I think all of you women understand this as the days, years, numbers get bigger, the opportunities get smaller, as well,” she continued. “Then along came the best gift: Everything, Everywhere All at Once.”

Last year, Yeoh and EEAAO swept awards season, taking home 265 awards and being nominated for more than 300. In addition to Yeoh and her Best Actress wins, her co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan also earned recognition for their roles.
