Pontelongo

One country, or rather two. For centuries Pontelongo has been this, two different inhabited centers, divided by the course of the Bacchiglione river, united by the bridge that gives its name to the Municipality, which arose already in the Middle Ages near an ancient river port.
The town owes its development to the presence of a large sugar factory built in 1910 and still active.
