Hard to fly but amazing fun with a friend. One of the best two player games on any platform ever.

This will always be BIP to me. As that it what Amiga Format called it on their coverdisk first time round. It was arguably the best player vs player game on the Amiga - arguable due to the existence of Tanx and Super Twintris.
This was SO much fun - to loop the loop your way out of being blasted by your sibling but not to go too high too fast otherwise risk your engine cutting out. Many cries of 'Let me take-off first!'

I think my brother and I spent more time playing this back in the day than anything else. In fact, we even had a game the other day and it's still just as fun now we're both in our 30s. A proper gem.

This might be a poor man's 'Dogfight' but I have never played that. This was given away on a coverdisk and I absolutely loved it. Two player fun and ridiculous moves. I'd definitely like to play this one again, if only I could find a friend who wouldn't laugh me into oblivion. 9/10

If you like this one - check out "Dogfight". This is just a poor clone.

Played this back in '94, hours of fun. Classic Amiga PD gameplay.

Quit a few hours was lost to this game when playing with friends. Cracking Freebie. Better than a lot of games I payed money for.

Simple, instant, fun. Get a mate, get some beers and laugh your assess off. All multiplayer games should be this fun.

Me and a buddy played this one quite a lot, good public domain game.

One of the best free games for Amiga. Great 2 player fun. And even though its been remade many times there ain't one that comes close to the playabilty of this version.

I remember getting this on a free disk from a magazine (not sure which one mind). Anyway, me and my mate just played this for hours! Very simple very but original game, probably still a great game to play now with a few mates after the pub !!

This is two player action at its best. You don't need more than this.

@RobFarley.
The Kardiak.co.uk version is shite.
The game just doesn't play the same, the planes don't fly the same.
This is what I find with all alternate versions I've played - the original just get's it right wether by accident or design.

There was a Czech version called just "Duel" (if I remember well) that I liked more. There were some funny additions, like enemy submarines, zeppelins, birds and artillery. Had better graphics and was more enjoyable. But this one I love too.

You might want to pop over to Kardiak.co.uk to pick up a remake for the PC.

At last, this has been added
The best 2 player game on the Amiga ? Definitely
The best reworking of an old classic (Intellivison) on the Amiga ? Definitely
The best PD game on the Amiga? Definitely
The best game on the Amiga? Definitely/Maybe
This is the game I have probably spent more hours on than most. It is simply a classic. Don't come here looking for great sound, graphics, music or presentation. Just enjoy the playability - this is perfected to a T. Don't confuse with other Biplanes games (especially that horrid Dogfight/4-player version). This is the original (sort of!). This is the best.
