abehemot2022-10-30 (7/10) Ishar 2 has better graphics and more varied locations than its predecessor, making it more atmospheric. However, some bad choices in game design make the player often lost, without a clue on what do to and where to go. This implies a lot of frustrating time, if one does not intend to use a walkthrough. Combat and npc interaction are weak, as in the first game. View all comments (12)
RichardH2017-01-09 (7/10) Great game but the Amiga version seems buggy and slow. Play it on the PC instead, you can buy the entire series for a couple bucks and it runs just fine in DosBOX. View all comments (32)
gaff2016-11-06 (10/10) I've played many of dungeons later, but when I thinking of this genre, my first memory always belongs to a mysterious atmosphere of Ishar II!
Arsace2015-01-01 (8/10) This is very good until you start to feel like there is not so much interactivity with npcs, or other things like buildings, wandering random people ecc. In the 3d world, and while progressing you feel like there is not any in-game story developing, at the end it feels more like a sort of 3d adventure game that relies more on great atmosphere and graphics than other, but it's still very good until it last View all comments (192)
radioman9702010-09-17 (9/10) This was first rate. Among the first AGA games I bought. I was extremely happy with the upgrade in graphic quality. This game really used those extra colors to good effect from what I remember. I played that first island over and over again. It was a good time even though it still suffered from weak combat, something that would just be something to accept from this series.
9/10. Classic. (rating the AGA version, but I think the non-AGA would probably be almost as good, only a little less sharpness of visuals) View all comments (288)
Myszaqu2008-02-09 (10/10) Hmmm.... Only so few played Ishar??? What a shame... I know, that it is not Eye of the Beholder or Dungeon Master, but this game is much less hardrocore Has beautiful graphics, simple interface, nice story and variety o characters. And FREEDOM! You can just do trips around islands Absolutely must-see for every Amiga-RPG maniac Better than part 1 and 3. View all comments (56)
mailman2005-05-26 (10/10) Great game. Very addictive. Unbelievable atmosphere. The first part was only in the forest and dungeons - the second is almost everywhere and it is really huge. And only on 4 disks (AGA)! View all comments (899)
kanda2005-04-07 (10/10) Excellent game, lot of nice environements (city, mountains, dungeons, forest...), improved interface compared to Ishar 1, good graphics...Very nice. View all comments (18)

Beautiful game. One of the most crucial dungeons ever
