There is a guy in the world who has a new job position, which few people know about yet, he will be the designer of a brand, a famous brand, that has made history.

Moschino reveals with an instagram post Adrian Appiolaza as its new Creative Director.

His Linkedin bio still shows “Design Director Ready to wear at Loewe”. Self-described by his experience, there is no need to add much: nine years as the Woman Ready To Wear Design Director in Loewe, formerly Design Director Ready to Wear for Chloe, before that almost four years as Senior Designer for Louis Vuitton, preceded by similar experiences for Chloe and Miguel Adrover, with a debut as Design Assistant for Alexander McQueen in 1999.

But these are merely definitions, Adrian Appiolaza is a guy sharing memes on Facebook and at the same time collecting Comme Des Garcons items, since 1988, when back to Argentina he received as a present a shirt from the brand.

Nowadays Paris based, Adrian is such an extrovert, fascinating and creative guy who, in addition to being a high brand designer, is a full-time daddy of three French bulldogs. A sympathetic one, who advocates for charity collections against wars and environmental disasters.

Adrian’s tattoos show that warm sparkly Latin American distinctive vibe, filled with the dream of not just being part of the fashion world, but rather being a role-player in it.

Moschino playful exuberance couldn’t choose anything better than the Sol de Mayo creative voice  which will debut in a few weeks with the Fall/Winter 2024 Women’s collection in Milan.

The hand-picked Museo della Permanente is indeed going to be Adrian's rehearsal stage on Feb. 22 during Milan Fashion Week.

He himself declares “I am ready to transport the Maison into a new chapter, with a theatrical touch, in the pure style of Moschino”, emphasising the thrilled yet so conscious of the landmark moment he is designing.
