A lot of mines and quarries have been active, and some still are active, within the territory of Lanzada, including some classical mineralogical sites such as the Sferlun Mine, Dosso dei Cristalli, and Dossi di Franscia Quarries.
Other classical localities such as Sasso Moro are located in the surrounding mountains.
Recently some mines (e.g. Bagnada Mine) have been revamped for cultural and touristic visits.
A permanent exhibition of an important collection of Valtellinese minerals (ex. F. Bedognè) is going to be prepared at the Mineralogical Museum located in Via Piave, Lanzada.
