Centurion's fit Chaos better IMO. Although not as good as taking Cult Marines(Noise Marines,Berserkers,Plague Marines,Rubric Marine.) or Chosen as troops.
They might make a good proxy for Obliterators though.
In fact, Centurions are just common space marines, but with more bulky and enchanced power armor, for the cases when protection matters more than speed and mobility.
And most of the Obliterators are former tech marines, affected by obliterator virus, not terminators or centurions.
Nope. There is no connection between the power of the Obliterator and the wearer's previous armor/weaponry/etc. All Obliterators' power is a result of mutation, his previous stuff means nothing. It doesn't matter whom they were before: space marines, scouts, terminators, etc.

Which means Obliterators should have the same stats as a Marine wearing Artificer Armor, not a TEQ. But GW is lazy.
