Selected by the Utah Jazz with the 30th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on July 29, 2021… Draft rights traded by the Utah Jazz to the Memphis Grizzlies for the draft rights to Jared Butler (40th overall in 2021) and two future second round draft picks on Aug. 7, 2021… Signed a multi-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies on Aug. 8, 2021.

BEFORE NBA

Played two seasons at the Loyola University Maryland (2019-21)… Appeared in 27 games (26 starts) for the Greyhounds and averaged 19.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.70 blocks in 33.3 minutes… Shot 49.5 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from 3-point range and 63.9 percent from the free throw line… Selected to the 2020-21 All-Patriot League First Team, 2021 Patriot League All-Tournament Team and NABC All-District (13) First Team as a sophomore after averaging 21.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.00 steals and 1.71 blocks in 35.0 minutes… Named to the 2019-20 Patriot League All-Rookie Team as a freshman… Posted 30 points and a career-high 22 rebounds in a triple-overtime game on Feb. 13, 2021 vs. Lafayette, tying Adonal Foyle’s conference record for rebounds in a game… Scored a career-best 33 points with 12 rebounds on March 10, 2021 in a win over Army in the Patriot League Tournament semifinals, helping Loyola advance to its first-ever Patriot League final… Posted 11 double-doubles in his collegiate career.

Born Jan. 10, 2001 in Las Palmas, Spain… Full name is Santiago Aldama Toledo… Son of Maria Isabel Toledo Jimenez and Santiago Aldama Aleson… His father was a professional basketball player in Spain and Portugal and a longtime member of the Spanish National Team who played in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona… His uncle, Santiago Toledo, also played basketball professionally in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
