Blepharoplasty
What is blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is cosmetic surgery of the upper and lower eyelids. It is known by many other names: Eyelid and bag operation, droopy eyelid surgery, eyelid lift operation, etc. All these terms refer to different conditions that are resolved through the operation.
Blepharoplasty seeks to rejuvenate the look and facial expression. Return dynamism and vitality by reducing the perception of age.
Eye rejuvenation with eyelid surgery corrects excess skin, part of the wrinkles on the eyelids are removed, bags or fat are removed, and the eye is lifted if necessary.

Differential
Plastic surgery for the upper eyelids is called upper blepharoplasty, and that of the lower eyelids is called lower blepharoplasty. If all of these are operated, it is called complete aesthetic blepharoplasty. When a lower blepharoplasty is performed without scarring on the skin, it is called a transconjunctival blepharoplasty.
The postoperative period of upper or lower eyelid surgery consists of wound care, avoiding sunlight and taking medications, in addition to the use of eye drops for optimal and rapid recovery. See post-op blepharoplasty photos in our before and after gallery.
In transconjunctival blepharoplasty, recovery is even easier since you do not have to remove stitches on the foot.
Yes. When a young person presents a large growth of the bags on the eyelids due to their genetics or other causes such as insomnia, premature aging of the eyes occurs, and therefore it is possible to operate. In most cases, the solution can be transconjunctival blepharoplasty or the use of laser rejuvenation.
No. Although the procedure is similar, surgery in men seeks to maintain a very masculine structure of the eye and in the case of women it is essential that they preserve the femininity and softness that characterizes them. See on our social networks (Instagram and Facebook) blepharoplasty surgeries before and after.
No. The drooping eyelid is caused by the collapse of the supporting structures of the eyelid and can only be resolved through surgery. It is a functional problem of the eye. This is why there are no creams to lift drooping eyelids or lasers.
Fractionated Co2 laser can tighten the skin and reduce wrinkles. I use this technology a lot for mild to moderate cases, and it can be an option if you have the indication. See also: Fractional Co2 laser facial rejuvenation.
