Biography: Christian Slater is an American actor and producer who has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1980s. He made his film debut with The Legend of Billie Jean (1985) and has continued to star through to films such as He Was a Quiet Man (2007) and Nymphomaniac (2013).

Slater made his acting debut at a young age on the Broadway stage, appearing in the 1980 production of The Music Man. He transitioned to film and television in his teenage years. His breakout role came in the 1988 film Heathers, a dark comedy where he played a rebellious teenager.

Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, Slater starred in a variety of films, showcasing his range as an actor. Some of his notable movies from this period include Pump Up the Volume (1990), where he played a pirate radio DJ, and True Romance (1993), a crime film written by Quentin Tarantino.

In addition to his film work, Slater has had a successful career in television. One of his most notable TV roles came in the critically acclaimed series Mr. Robot, where he played the enigmatic title character. His performance in the series was praised and earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film in 2016.
