Vintage mid century Italian brand Fiaba tan and brown leather makeup case Very glamorous two toned leather make up case by Italian designer Fiaba. This is a 1960s celebrity makeup standard - two big side opening compartments with a host of features. Lined in tan vinyl one side has three scrunchy elasticised holders for bottles and a long low holder for combs, hair clips mirror etc. The other side has a tan leather strap which can be adjusted to hold things, bottles, brushes, makeup etc and another long low holder for bigger things. I love the roominess of it plus it is lockable on both sides! and the key works well. The shape is doctors bag with elegant details- not rounded but angular- three gold bars on the top and beautiful leather stitched with brown contrasting leather on the handle and the centre panel brown leather. In good vintage condition - The leather has worn away on the edges revealing the underlying wood frame here and there. The interiors are very clean and elasticised bits are still very bouncy. The body leather is reasonably good on the surfaces with a few marks here and there. The handle leather is cracked in two places underneath and although still intact and working it will need to be replaced or repaired if you want to travel with it - this is easily done. The metal clasps have some wear on them but work well and have a key. 12" (30.5cm) wide X 9" (23cm) high X 7 1/2" (19cm) deep A bit of 1960s Italian glamour! Wheres my headscarf and sunnies?
