A Review of 2022…

 

With Christmas almost upon us, another year end is not far away, and what a quick and eventful year it has been.

2022 marked the first full year of operation for PropOp, following our launch in June 2021.  In that time the business has grown quickly, with this reflected in many positive and different aspects.

 
 
 

In line with the growth of our portfolio, we have invested in many of our systems.  Enhancements have been made to our client relationship management system, financial control and client statement processing and management of utilities, to name but a few.  We also have plans to further focus and improve on our property reporting at the start of the year.

Our Portfolio growth has seen an increase of over 200% since start of the year. This is an extraordinary result and way above our own expectations. A large part of this progress has been down to our clients positive early experience with PropOp and the referrals they have provided, which has been a fantastic support and show of faith, that we are hugely grateful for. With this added to our other business strategies and partnerships, it has proven to be a successful formula.

We also moved into our new office in June, to mark our 1st year anniversary, located near Haymarket and based at Palmerston Place Lane. This was a significant step forward for us and really helped bolster and build our business infrastructure.  Whilst helping improve our presence and brand, it is also a great benefit and support in allowing us to deliver a high level of service, which always remains our core focus.  There are of course many positives from working from home and as a business we wish to offer this flexibility – but we also believe there is no doubt, that in having our own office space, we are much better positioned to build and more importantly maintain relationships with all aspects of our clientele.

 

Another significant moment for us in the last year saw the first new addition to the PropOp Team. Ben Gettel joined the business as a Director in July.  Just as Emma and I had, Ben worked for our previous employer where we all first met each other.  The decision for Ben to come on board was an easy one, with his values, work ethic and passion matching our own.

“A big motivation for me is providing a strong personal service to our clients, whether that is the landlord or tenant.  Building relationships is a key factor in business and is something that naturally gives me satisfaction. I feel it is consistently missed within the industry, largely due to high levels of volume that agents often have to try and combat.  By joining a young company such as PropOp, coupled with the experience and knowledge that both Andrew and Emma hold, not only do I think I can add my own skill set and experience, but I also believe we are well placed to be proactive, to meet and overcome those challenges.  I have learnt that hard work and the right attitude are absolutely key to success”

 
 

Success has also been recognised with our Investment Sourcing service, overseen by Emma.  It has been very encouraging to have had investment each month of the year. We have seen new clients buying their first ‘buy to let’ property, as well as current clients adding to their existing portfolio already under management.  This is another area we are excited to grow in the year ahead.

 
 

It has been an exciting, challenging and enjoyable year for PropOp.  With more projects planned for 2023 and further growth, we look forward to continuing the early success we have experienced.
