Tim Brinkhof Observer Although the premise is nothing groundbreaking, it still provides a promising blueprint. Unfortunately, Sakurai's execution falls short of this promise, especially in terms of animation, which feels automatized at best and downright soulless at worst. Jun 5, 2021 Full Review James Beckett Anime News Network I might be too old and experienced to have gotten a lot out of it, but I think Eden will do nicely as a kid's introduction to the world of robot uprisings, spunky heroines, and giant mecha fights. Rated: B- Jul 18, 2021 Full Review Emma Stefansky Thrillist By the final episode, Eden has built a world begging to be explored. Jun 5, 2021 Full Review Kayti Burt Den of Geek Eden misses an opportunity to subvert the more tiring aspects of this familiar set-up fin favor of something new... Still, there's wonder in the pursuit. Jun 5, 2021 Full Review Hannah Collins CBR A combination of clever character design, motion and voice acting make the 'good' robots personable -- akin to the faceless but loveable droids of the Star Wars universe -- and the 'bad' robots impersonal, and therefore menacing. Jun 4, 2021 Full Review Brittany Vincent Decider It's disarmingly cheerful, even when dealing with some particularly bleak subject matter. May 28, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member The show is short and sweet, Five episodes at 25 minutes each. The story is pretty good, I like the concept a lot more than the execution, the dialogue is below average and the voice acting is okay. It is a kids anime so it wasn't gonna be amazing the the first place. I think kids will like it a lot more but it's an alright watch if you have a little time and don't know what to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A truly rare gem! I watched it all in one go (it's only four episodes) and all I can say is that it is just right, I loved the story, the musics, the art style, all of it. A must-watch for every sci-fi/anime lover! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The animation is inconsistent, the sharp 3D animation sometimes contrasts very badly with backgrounds that are just blurry sketches. Not to mention the often weird movement from Sara. Story is nothing new, but it is serviceable for a show aimed at children. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review spencer p Its plot will be nothing new to anyone accustomed to post-apocalyptic robot existentialism in their anime diet, but Eden makes a pretty good, and colorfully animated, jumping-off point for younger viewers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The story is so-so dystopia with a happy ending, the protagonist is annoyingly bratty - woe to humanity should it require a savior such as her. Definitely written for the self-absorbed know-it-all kawai teen set.
