Roccella Valdemone

Province of Messina

Roccella Valdemone is a charming tiny village located in the Province of Messina.

The first settlement of Roccella Valdemone was founded by the noble family Spadafora in the Middle Age; they built the old town centre and ruled the town until the abolition of the feudalism. The most important monuments of the village are the Cathedral of San Nicolò di Bari, built in the 16th century with a Roman style and the Church of Maria dell’Udienza, created by the family Spadafora.
