Iain Dowie admits he is still in the dark regarding his managerial future with Hull City.

Interim Hull coach does not know if he will continue at club

Iain Dowie admits he is still in the dark regarding his managerial future with Hull City. Dowie's temporary spell at the KC Stadium ended on the last day of the season with a 0-0 draw with Liverpool, after he failed to save the club from relegation. The Tigers will be playing in the Championship next term and have an uncertain financial future, and Dowie admits he is not the priority at the moment. "I spoke with Adam (Pearson, head of football operations) four or five days ago and he was looking at a two-week window then, but it's not easy to deal with the problems that the club has," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "The club has bigger fish to fry than my future at the moment. "That's the way it is and I knew it was just a nine-game contract when I took the job on. "I'm taking a break at the moment but it was a fantastic time for me at Hull City. I'm now chilling out and watching my son play cricket, that sort of thing. "I'm back in my home doing some grass-roots coaching and doing a bit of compering, and I've got some media work lined up at the World Cup. "If or when the conversation comes with Adam, I'll deal with it." Phil Brown is currently the named manager in charge of Hull although he was placed on gardening leave in March. The club are thought to be in negotiations with Brown regarding a severance payment, and will not appoint a new boss until the issue is resolved.
