Roma have confirmed the signing of midfielder Fabio Simplicio on a three-year contract from Palermo.

Roma have confirmed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabio Simplicio on a three-year contract from Palermo.
Simplicio had been out of contract at Palermo and had rejected the opportunity to extend his time with the Sicilian club.
The 30-year-old had enjoyed four years with Palermo, but has now agreed a deal until 2013 with Roma worth 1.1million euros per season.
Simplicio had long been linked with a move to Roma and he is excited by the deal which offers the chance of UEFA Champions League football next season.
He said: "I am so happy to receive Roma's call and looking forward to the experience that awaits me."
