Visited Aprica the week after new years had a great time. Good snow conditions. Ski area is of average size with 50 km of piste, but enough for a weeks skiing/boarding unless of course you're very advanced.
Resort well suited to intermediate skiers/boarders. There is a good mix of well linked blue, red, and also a few black runs. Very well suited to beginners as slopes are uncrowded and only a short walk to ski lifts. Runs are serviced by two gondolas & a brand new four seater express chair lift, so that's quite good considering the lift pass was only £85 with equity.
Aprica is a small town with a few shops, bars, supermarkets & a swimming pool. Locals are all very friendly.
Recommend taking at least one ski/board lesson as the level of instruction is very good.
Stayed in the 3* Hotel Posta which I recommend very highly. The hotel has a bar, TV, lounge room, games room & excellent food. The owner, Mariano, really puts himself out and will get you anything you need from ski lessons to beans on toast :).
Will return again.
