Fessura, a historical Italian sneaker company from the renown Marche region footwear district, launched VTR-15, a new line of “door-to-trail” sneakers for s/s 2024.

The new sneaker selection offers a hybrid shoe that combines the classic features of a trainer with off-road appeal.

The new line of sneakers is designed to guarantee high-shock absorption while walking or running on any terrain—be them dirty roads, intricate mountain trails or simply urban streets.

The new sneaker model is inspired by E15, a trail of Monte Vettore, a mountain of the local Sibillini Mountains chain near to the brand’s headquarters.

The shoe is completed by an excellent cushioning system that guarantees protection and comfort also after many kilometers of walk. The sneaker’s design is characterised by high-soles, top-quality functional materials and a modern design, including specific side-sole embossing reproducing the silhouette of the Vettore Mountain.

Within the initiatives aimed to support the special model’s launch, the company started a series of activations that involve the Fessura community of consumers with the aim to connect the new style’s high-performance products with its users and their passion for sports, love of experimentation and design.

Fessura will be the main sponsor of three important trail running events that will tke place in the Sibillini Mountains area between April and October 2024. Participants will be able to test the Fessura VTR-E15 shoes at the presence of Davide Ugolini, trail running coach and ambassador of the company.

Among other initiatives, they will also hold a fourth event in August, the Fessura Hiking Day, the first hiking event dedicated to all outdoor enthusiasts and their families. It will provide an opportunity to introduce the public to the natural beauty of Monte Vettore following the E15 route that will lead to the summit of Monte Vettore at an altitude of 2476m.

Fessura originates from a long time footwear company history. It was founded by the pioneer entrepreneur “Commendatore” Aldo Botticelli in 1950, in Montegranaro. He transformed a 1800s grain warehouse into a factory and contributed the industrialization of Italian footwear.

Sixty years later, in that same building, his grandsons Andrea, Giorgio, and Marco Vecchiola, carried on the family tradition and founded Fessura.

The cutting-edge Italian brand offers modern sneakers characterised by fashion-meets-new-technology, while offering high-performance, modern and sustainable products.

Among others, they developed Change, a patented system designed to build footwear without machinery, glue, or stitching.

Its concept is based upon a sole that remains the base of the shoe while the upper, a one-meter-long elastic band, slips into the “slits”, the “fessure” in Italian (hence the brand’s name) in the sole itself, allowing a shoe to be manually and easily composed.

Customers are free to change their shoes' color and style anytime, experimenting with imagination and creativity. Patented for Industrial Invention, Fessura Change can be considered a pioneer of eco-sustainable footwear, as the lack of the classical industrial construction process reduces Co2 emission by at least 50%.
