Will there be replays for the FA Cup semi-finals?

FA Cup replays have become a huge part of English football's most famous cup competition.

And there have been extensive changes in recent years regarding whether they are included.

In the 2020-21 and the 2021-22 season, all replays were scrapped due to fixture congestion.

But they were brought back for the third and fourth rounds of the 2022-23 campaign.

For the 2023-24 season, there were replays in the fourth round if needed - and they were available in the third round too.

However, from the fifth round onwards, there will be no replays and matches that end in a draw will be settled on the day.

And from the 2024/25 season onwards, there will be NO replays in the FA Cup.

Will there be extra-time and penalties during replays?

Yes! Extra-time and penalties are available if two teams cannot be separated during their FA Cup tie after 90 minutes in the replay.

There will be 30 minutes of extra-time played and if the ties are still level, the winner will progress through a penalty shootout.
