With so many free games there's sure to be one you'll love.

From the huge library of free games available, we’ve picked out five games that you have to play.

Here are the five must-play free games that you grab now on Nintendo Switch.

Fortnite

Everyone probably already knows about the world’s most popular battle royale by now, but Fortnite recently added three new family-friendly modes.

Lego Fortnite is similar to Minecraft and focuses on building and creativity, Rocket Racing is a super-charged kart racer, and Fortnite Festival brings Rock Band to the game.

More in Nintendo

All four of these modes are available completely free on Nintendo Switch, giving you a robust library of different game types for absolutely free.

All of these new modes are available in Fortnite, so just download this one game to get all this free content.

Tetris 99 and F-Zero 99

These two games require Nintendo Switch Online as they are online only, but there are perks among the almost 250 other Switch games included in the package.

Tetris is one of the best-selling games of all time, and 99 puts a new twist on it by allowing you to disrupt other players.

F-Zero 99 is a similar concept, where you race around classic F-Zero tracks against 99 other people, and those in the back get knocked out.

Both games can be downloaded for free, but as they are both online, you will need Nintendo Switch Online in order to play.

Sky: Children of Light

There are a lot of metaverses that are popular with kids, such as Roblox, known for games like Arson, Toilet Simulator, and for being a “playground for pedophiles”.

However, there is a family-friendly alternative from thatgamecompany, the developer behind thoughtful games like Journey and Flower.

Sky: Children of Light is a metaverse all about closeness and making friends. The community has been built to be kind to one another, give hugs and encouragement.

It has players from all over the world, and you can fly around the map together creating and making friends.

Pokémon Unite and Pokémon Café Remix

There are a number of free-to-play Pokémon games on Switch. If you have NSO, you can enjoy Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Snap, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

However, even if you don’t have NSO, there are some completely free games like Pokémon Café Remix, and Pokémon Unite.

Unite is a MOBA like League of Legends, except with more basic gameplay and plenty of cute Pokémon.

If you’re interested in the genre but don’t want to dive in at the deep end, this is a good one to try out.

Fall Guys

Fall Guys is the perfect multiplayer game, with its silly bean characters flopping through a number of challenges.

Much like in It’s a Knockout, you must guide your bean through a number of obstacles, without getting knocked out.

It’s goofy fun, and win or lose you’ll be able to enter a new round at the end.

Fall Guys is completely free to download and play, and you’ll get access to every wacky level.
