If you're in search of such a beach where you'll find incredible scenery, head to the town of Furore, located in the Campania region of Italy, where a gigantic fjord opens up to create its very own hidden beach. The narrow bay of the fjord invites those who descend down the long staircase that leads to the bottom to enjoy the inlet, while a bridge that spans the length of the fjord allows you to look down and get a magnificent view over the area. Carved by the cascading waters of the Schiato River over centuries, the fjord creates a natural amphitheater that has hosted the Marmeeting High Diving World Championship. It's also a popular stop for locals in the summer. Nuthawut Somsuk/Getty Images Once you've had a chance to take a dip through its clear and bright waters, you'll find a series of trails that you can also hike to reach nearby bars and restaurants. Meanwhile, the small town of Furore itself is filled with white homes that sit scattered between vines and olives, set up today as an open-air museum where you can explore the wide array of artwork that lines the walls of homes and the dry stone walls of terraces. If you want to explore more of what the area has to offer, several tour operators offer itineraries that take you through Furore's fjord as well as through some of the other natural rock formations, grand arches to hidden caves, you'll find on the Amalfi Coast.
