    Hi this looks great but is it possible for you to make one that says Keep Placing CakeOrders For Good StudentsThe kids relate to this as it is about them. Love the fish one too though.

Mnemonics for classification of living things

In this set, you will find three different mnemonics for the classification of living things. Children will get to pick out of the three phrases what works best for them to remember. As well as the rhyme, there are also colourful illustrations on each poster to remind children what the mnemonic is about.

An example of one of our mnemonics for the classification of living things is “Keep Ponds Clean Or Fish Get Sick.” Here, the first letter of each word represents one of the classifications of living things.

These posters would make for a wonderful wall display and are perfect for 8 to 11-year-olds. Or, print out a page for each child to stick into their workbooks to be able to look back at whenever they need. Make your science lesson stand out with these exciting resources.

Scientists classify living things to organize and make sense of the incredible diversity of life. Classification also helps us understand how living things are related to each other. The classifications of living things is as follows:

  • Kingdom
  • Phylum
  • Class
  • Order
  • Family
  • Genus
  • Species

The most basic classification of living things is kingdoms. Currently, there are five kingdoms: animal, plant, fungi, protist and monera.
