Gigi Hadid is making the professional leap from simply wearing clothes to actually designing them herself.

The model announced on Instagram on Thursday that she is working on her own fashion line called Guest in Residence. Posting a carousel of images, Hadid gave her fans a sneak peek at the behind-the-scenes process of making the new collection of knitwear. She also showed off a few of the sample pieces from the forthcoming brand that she's already been wearing. “Been workin on something….with love, @guestinresidence :),” she wrote in the caption. She also updated her Instagram bio to reflect her new role, writing, “founder, creative director @guestinresidence.” And while her collection has yet to debut, it already has at least a couple of famous fans. Hailey Bieber commented on the post “So excited about this,” while her sister Bella added, “What we've all been waiting for,” with a string of pink heart emojis.

This isn't Hadid's only recent venture into the world of fashion design. In April, she also announced that she was partnering with her childhood friend and founder of Frankies Bikinis, Francesca Aiello, on a collaborative swimwear collection. When designing the bikini line, the pair pulled references from their childhood growing up together in Malibu, California, as well as the model's mother's new home in rural Pennsylvania. In a press release announcing the collection, Hadid wrote, "We designed this collection with so much love, and I believe that really shines through in the details. Both Frank and I have very social lives but also are big homebodies, and the collection really embodies that side of us." And in an Instagram post by Frankies Bikinis debuting the collaboration, the caption also noted that, “The collection is rooted in friendship and inspired by Gigi's care-free days at her family's dreamy countryside home, full of sentiment and nostalgia.”

In the press release, Aiello also praised her friend's keen fashion insights, explaining, “Gigi is someone that is so special and so inspiring to me. She is creative, hard working, kind and loving, and combining those incredible personality traits with our deep rooted friendship is what really made this collection not only fun to create together but also to shoot together.” Hadid noted as well that this collection was created with “Friends and heart” and is a “special full circle moment,” adding, “We've known each other since before we ever thought dreams like this could come true.”
