A lot of the people who work at Shinola have dogs, and they allow dogs in the store. My dogs wanted me to do a pet line with Shinola so I would stay home more.

My favorite sight is the Fox Theatre at night in the rain.
The most exciting projects are Diego Rivera murals in the Detroit Institute of Arts and the photographs in the cafeteria there of the artist with Frida Kahlo, taken in Detroit while Rivera was working on the murals.
