Boom! Vigna la Casaccia nel millesimo 2018 è denso e compatto nel calice senza perdere in leggiadria e complessità sensoriale. Si alternano lentamente note di prugne nere, more, cannella in polvere, incenso, mirto selvatico, cumino e pepe nero. L'arancia sanguinella descrive il profilo secondario che si anima con buoni muscoli. Corpo pieno, tannini perfettamente morbidi di grana finissima ed un finale di lodevole bellezza. Meglio dal 2025.

Noble and very elegant showing mixed floral and fruit notes reminiscent of geraniums, hibiscus, red prunes, burnt orange rind, cinchona and wet earth. Full bodied, perfectly mature tannins integrated in the matrix and an iconic finale. A reference point for the denomination in a difficult year. Better from 2023.

Initially closed, this eventually reveals aromas of grilled porcini, rose, camphor and citrus zest. Linear and elegantly structured, the palate is still youthfully austere, recalling morello cherry, blood orange, licorice and a hint of salt while firm, close-grained tannins provide the backbone. Clear, dark ruby with iridescent garnet rim. Compact, somewhat closed nose with notes of dark blackberries and cherries, fine nougat tone in the background. Blossoms on the palate great, dense, full-bodied tannin, embedded in fine fruit texture, salty and juicy, shows very young still, but has a long life ahead of it.

Subtle aromas evoking exotic spice, scorched forest floor, baked plum and camphor slowly emerge on this big chewy red, along with a whiff of fragrant purple flower. Thickly concentrated and enveloping, the fleshy palate doles out dried black cherry, steeped prune, licorice and tobacco alongside densely knit, velvety tannins. Brilliant, rich ruby with a wide garnet rim. Very appealing and intense nose, shows notes of blackberry, plum, some cherry jam and cinnamon. On the palate much fine material, glides almost silkily over the mouth, very polished, fine-meshed tannin, on the finish long with sweet texture.

Delizioso e complesso nella matrice sensoriale con prugne rosse, lamponi, ribes e foglia di mirto. Mi piace il carattere mediterraneo della matrice sensoriale che vira in differenti direzioni raccontando di timo, maggiorana e salvia arsa. Corpo medio-pieno, tannini vellutati nella forma ed un finale caldo ed avvolgente che dona la piena bellezza gustativa. Meglio dal 2022.
